SUMMARY:Fluxnet Workshop—Berkeley
DESCRIPTION:We will convene the 2017 Fluxnet Conference in Berkeley CA to: \n\nFoster Interactions and Collaborations Among the Fluxnet Community. Objectives of the Workshop include Opportunities to\nDescribe the Attributes and Opportunities of the new Fluxnet database;\nDiscuss Status and Progress of the Regional Networks\nDiscuss Directions of Science; Present Results from Members; Foster Synthesis and Discuss and Plan Future of Flux Network Science\n\nWebsite: http://ucanr.edu/sites/Fluxnet2017/ \nA small registration fee is set to help offset costs of the venue\, coffee and lunch. \nDue to space we are limiting the number of participants to 150\, so please register sooner than later! \nPlease submit a poster abstract; there will be ample time for posters and discussion. \nWe have a tentative agenda with talks on updates of the network\, the new database\, reports from the regions\, and emerging topics.   Based on interest we may have a small field trip to see our Delta Field sites on Sat June 10. \nWe also are soliciting ideas for breakout sessions on Day Two. We hope to generate some pressing\, important and cross-cutting ideas\, and would like to get some input from early career scientists
