SUMMARY:ICOS Sweden Annual Workshop 2016
DESCRIPTION:SEE Website’s FLYER FOR REGISTRATION\, LODGING.  The workshop takes place at 22-24 August 2016 at Abisko Scientific Station\, Abisko\, Sweden\, and includes a short excursion in late afternoon on the arrival day (22 Aug) and a field visit to the ICOS Sweden Abisko-Stordalen measurement station (23 Aug). It will focus on the effects of climatic changes in the subarctic – boreal intersection. \nDeadline for registration is 15 May 2016. You find the registration link in the attached flyer.\nIf you would like to give an oral presentation and/or a poster presentation\, please send also a half a page long abstract to mail address given in the flyer. \nWe recommend that you book your accommodation in good time! ICOS will provide long‐term observations (20+ years) and has at present more than 100 measurement stations in eleven European countries. \nICOS Sweden is the Swedish contribution to this European effort and is a cooperation of Lund University (host)\, University of Gothenburg\, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences\, Stockholm University\, Uppsala University\, and Swedish Polar Research Secretariat. The measurement sites are located at seven different sites\, from north to south: Abisko‐Stordalen (subarctic mire)\, Degerö (boreal mire)\, Svartberget (boreal pine and spruce forest)\, Norunda (boreal pine and spruce forest)\, Östergarnsholm (marine station)\, Lanna (agricultural land)\, and Hyltemossa (boreal spruce forest). \nMore information on ICOS RI: http://icos-ri.eu/
