DESCRIPTION:[This is an event for AGU attendees] \nThis is an exciting time to participate in the AmeriFlux network. AmeriFlux data are enabling climate solutions\, informing better water resource management\, and helping Earth system models predict climate with more confidence. A new generation of flux scientists are leading scientific discoveries. As we chart the coming years\, what scientific\, societal\, and educational opportunities should the Network tackle and how? Join a conversation with early-career to senior scientists\, from around the world. This town hall is hosted by the AmeriFlux Management Project (AMP)\, with speakers from the Department of Energy (DOE)\, NASA\, community Working Groups and more. Groups include Remote Sensing\, Nature-based Climate Solutions\, Urban Fluxes\, and Land Modeling\, and Solar Eclipse (did you know 50 AmeriFlux sites in the U.S. and Mexico were in/near the totality path for the April 2024 eclipse? Plus\, did you know that AMP can loan you a flux package for urban or wilderness deployments\, provide you with data from 500 sites\, and help you start a new Working Group? Come connect with old and new friends\, converse with our DOE Program Managers\, give AMP your feedback\, and hear community updates. In person or virtually\, we look forward to seeing you there!
