This is an informal\, interactive workshop to learn from each other and AMP about how to run a safe site\, collect high-quality measurements\, and publish your data with AmeriFlux. We will cover a range of topics that are relevant to data providers\, in hands-on\, interactive sessions. Registration is free\, lunch for two days will be provided (outdoors) for in-person attendees\, and in-person attendees need to organize their own travel+accommodation. The classroom portions and the calibration lab visit will be held at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. A lactation room is available in the same building\, an all gender restroom is available in the adjacent building. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with Christin Cbuechner@lbl.gov to discuss other accommodations. \nWe will also do a site visit to a flux site in the Sacramento Delta\, about 2 hrs drive from Berkeley. \nWorkshop format – If possible\, we encourage site technicians and data providers to attend this workshop in person\, to take full advantage of the site visit\, lab visit and informal networking opportunities. We will gladly make the ‘classroom’ sessions available via zoom and do our best to discuss specific cases with online participants throughout the workshop. \n  \nTo vote for proposed topics or suggest your own\, please fill out THIS FORM. SUMMARY:NCAR-NEON Workshop on modeling and data visualization tools
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce the next installment in our series of NCAR-NEON Workshops focused on linking the geosciences and ecology. This year’s workshop will focus on using NCAR-NEON modeling and data visualization tools to develop new research avenues and obtain feedback on how this collaboration can best serve the community going forward. The workshop will include presentations\, tutorials\, and working group sessions aimed at developing early-career projects leveraging NCAR-NEON tools. Additional agenda information forthcoming. \nThis will be an in-person workshop at NCAR Mesa Lab in Boulder\, CO from May 31-June 2\, 2023. Virtual participation will be available\, but will be constrained to attending presentations and tutorials. \nFunding is available for attendee travel and lodging. \nThose interested in attending in-person must complete the Workshop Application by 5 pm MST\, Friday February 17th. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance by March 10th. \nFor information on past workshops in this series and background on the NCAR-NEON-Community collaborations please visit our project webpage. \nPlease reach out to Mike SanClements (sanclements@battelle.org) and Gordon Bonan (bonan@ucar.edu) if you have additional questions and use the subject line “NCAR-NEON Workshop”. \nBest regards\, \nNCAR-NEON workshop steering committee
