2025 AmeriFlux Annual Meeting

When: October 22-24, 2025

Where: Tucson, AZ (University of Arizona Campus)

How: Hybrid plenary sessions, breakout sessions will be either in-person or fully virtual. Poster session will be in-person.

Update October 13, 2025:

Government shutdown
As a government contractor, Berkeley Lab continues to operate on carryover funds during the Federal Government Shutdown. Since the AmeriFlux Annual Meeting is a central deliverable for our project, we plan to go ahead with the meeting. Nevertheless, we expect significant impacts on government services, and particularly if you are traveling by plane, we suggest leaving plenty of buffer time and checking with your airline for delays and changes.
Pre-work for the meeting
During this meeting, we plan to discuss the current state and future of the AmeriFlux network, and how to deal with rapid shifts in funding levels and changing boundary conditions to our work. Please take 2 minutes to provide your thoughts in this pre-survey – we will use the aggregated thoughts as a discussion starting point.
Agenda and Abstracts
We have uploaded the abstracts for all contributions now. You can see the agenda here.
Update August 22, 2025:

Breakout session submission extended: Please propose breakout ideas through this Submission form by Aug 29. We will consider all submissions, but two kinds of breakout are of particular interest this year.

  • hands-on, tutorial style sessions in which attendees can learn a relevant skill or see a demo of tools and applications
  • discussions or workshops that explore or address the shifting funding landscape for flux and ecological research. We are envisioning a series of breakouts covering different aspects under this general topic, and would like to source input from the community. Please fill out the form if you would like to help organize these breakouts.

Registration is open now: In-person registration link ($80 for Early Career researchers, $180 for everyone else) | virtual registration link (free registration)
